Utkrist Shrestha is a project management professional, engineer, and business leader with over a decade of experience across engineering, oil and gas, sourcing, procurement, and professional education. He is a PMP®-certified professional and currently serves as the President of the PMI Nepal Chapter, where he is committed to advancing project management practices, professional development, and the project management community in Nepal.

He holds an Executive MBA from Leeds Beckett University, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk Campus. He began his professional career in the oil and gas sector in Abu Dhabi, where he worked for over eight years as a Project Engineer, gaining extensive experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, technical and commercial evaluation, and project execution.

Currently, Utkrist serves as Project Lead at Sourcing Nepal and COO at Line Academy, where he is involved in international sourcing, business development, and professional trainings. Through his leadership and diverse industry experience, he aims to strengthen the project management profession in Nepal and create greater opportunities for PMI members and aspiring project professionals.

Rupesh Shrestha is an architect and urban management expert with extensive experience in sustainable built environments, disaster risk reduction, and project management. He is currently the Vice President of the Nepal German Academic Association (NEGAAS) and serves as a Technical Coordinator at the National Housing and Settlements Resilience Platform (NHSRP), Nepal. He holds a Master’s in Natural Resources Management & Development from TH Köln, Germany, and a Bachelor in Architecture from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), he has received prestigious awards, including DAAD and an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation International Climate Protection Fellow at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, focusing on flood-resilient housing and urban management.

Yamanta Raj Niroula is a senior project management professional with more than 20 years of experience in infrastructure development and project delivery across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. His experience spans roads, electrical infrastructure, wastewater treatment plants, logistics facilities, and disaster recovery programmes, including assignments in complex geographic, institutional, and resource-constrained environments.

He has served as Project Controls Specialist, Design Manager, Planning and Project Controls Manager, Engineer, and Project Manager with international organizations and United Nations agencies in Nepal, the Maldives, Singapore, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Yemen, Sudan, and Ethiopia.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, a Master of Arts in Rural Development, and a Diploma in Civil Engineering. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and has been a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 2010.
